Mr Stephen Posey, Chief Executive Officer
Stephen joined the Trust as its Chief Executive in November 2016. Previously Stephen was the Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Strategy at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust where he led the delivery of Hertfordshire’s acute consolidation programme, which completed in 2014. A £150 million investment programme to reconfigure the Trust’s acute services across east and north Hertfordshire to improve clinical outcomes and enable the development of specialist services.

This role builds on more than 20 years experience in the health service, spanning commissioning, provider and strategic roles.

Roy Clarke

Mr Roy Clarke, Director of Finance
Roy was appointed Director of Finance in November 2015 with responsibility for procurement and contracting. He joins the Trust from Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust where he was the Director of Finance responsible for leading on all aspects of Finance, IM&T, Estates & Facilities, Procurement and Commercial Services. Previous to this role, Roy has held senior roles in general acute and specialist NHS hospital services. Roy is a Chartered Management Accountant and has particular experience in developing and implementing organisational strategy, financial recovery and large scale estate development. He is motivated by developing healthcare organisations to deliver the best possible care to patients.

Dr Roger Hall

Dr Roger Hall, Medical Director
Roger is a consultant cardiothoracic anaesthetist and Intensivist. He studied medicine at Otago University in New Zealand and completed his specialist training in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. From 1991 to 2002 he was a consultant at Green Lane Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand practicing both paediatric and adult cardiac anaesthesia and intensive care before moving to Papworth Hospital. In May 2015 he was appointed Medical Director.

Elizabeth Horne

Miss Elizabeth Horne, Director of Human Resources
Elizabeth was appointed as Director of Human Resources in June 2003 with responsibility for all aspects of human resources from recruitment and retention, to training and development, payroll and occupational health. She has worked in a broad spectrum of the service including teaching hospitals and special health authorities.

Elizabeth has been actively involved in specific national projects including the specification and evaluation for the new electronic staff record system currently being rolled out across the NHS to improve workforce information, and promoting equality and diversity as a Learning Site for the Department of Health working towards the Single Equality Scheme. Elizabeth has an MA in Law and Employment Relations and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD).

Josie Rudman

Ms Josie Rudman, Director of Nursing
Josie was appointed Director of Nursing in March 2014. She first came to Papworth in 2008 as Deputy Director of Nursing involved in introducing the Productive Ward, E-rostering and Alert Service, and then as Acting Director of Nursing from 1 July 2013.

Josie worked previously at Peterborough District Hospital as Lead Practice Development Nurse, is a Registered Nurse tutor, has a BSc in Oncology Nursing and MSc in Nursing Practice.

Josie is the professional lead for nursing and is the Director of Infection Prevention and Control. She is also the executive lead for patient safety and the patient experience, safeguarding vulnerable people including dementia services, patient support services, clinical governance and risk management.

Claire Tripp

Mrs Claire Tripp, Deputy Chief Executive Officer
Claire was appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in November 2016 after previously acting as Interim Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Claire was the Director of Operations before taking on this role. Claire originally started working at Papworth in January 1989 as a Staff Nurse on the Critical Care Unit.

She became Thoracic Services Manager in 2000 and in 2003 she was promoted to become the General Manager of Thoracic Services. As Director of Operations, Claire is responsible for the day to day management of the Hospital. Claire provides executive lead for IM&T, estate management, medical equipment and the Trust's Service Improvement Planning.
